Netflix Watch Now

Watch Now

Netflix recently started a Watch Now service that allows account holders to watch movies over the internets. Every member gets 1 hour of free streaming for every $1 of their monthly bill — $14.99 service, 15 hours of streaming. We just watched The Jerk using the service last night. The video quality wasn’t great on our relatively slow 1.5M connection, but it was very passable and seemed to get better the longer we watched. The video began immediately and didn’t stutter a single time. The streamable portion of the library is quite a bit smaller than the full movie library. We have the $14.99 plan, and 15 hours of streaming video is probably more than we can watch in a month anyway. All-in-all, I give the service a resounding two thumbs up. Since when does a company give you more for your money, but that is exactly what Netfilx just did. More info from Engadget

Not all of their customers can immediately access the service. If you can, the top of your browser will include a Watch Now tab like shown in the picture. If you can’t, here is a link that will show you how to get it. Netflix Watch Now: Secret Technique

By the way. The Jerk was great.
